--Leo Tolstoy
"Time heals all wounds."
"Give me patience, and I want it NOW!"
"One day at a time."
Patience gives us the time to know ourselves, what we want to do/be/have, and to hold that in mind for the time it takes to manifest. This is the process of creating. It is really rather simple, but not always easy. The two key ingredients are those stated by Tolstoy.
Our society has become one of "instant gratification." It has to be done yesterday. There is little honoring of patience and time, yet living a mature, satisfying life requires copious amounts of both. While we may have to wait, we always have a choice in the attitude we hold toward that waiting time. I would suggest that a good attitude likely shortens the wait!
