WOW, what a day yesterday was. We drove through the Petrified Forest National Park, which is truly amazing. I felt like I was on another planet. The colors, the geological features, the beauty of petrified wood--it is awe-inspiring.
We arrived at our host's home in Show Low, Arizona before noon. The two vehicles combined their grocery lists, and three of us went to the store and brought home over $400 worth of stuff. I surely hope that will feed us for more than a couple days! We spent several hours playing cards. Money moved around, but no one went broke.
Several of us went for an evening walk, a huge relief after so much sitting. There is a large lovely city park right nearby, and an aquatic center where I can lap-swim is less than a mile walk from where we are staying. BONUS!
Today is our first day of golfing.
