It is good to listen--not to voices, but to the wind blowing, to the brook running cool over polished stones, to bees drowsy with the weight of pollen.
This is a much-needed reminder for me at the moment, as I have some unpleasant and depressing voices chattering in my head. Here in Kansas there is plenty of wind to listen to.

The waves in Jamaica were equally successful at washing away my anxieties, but alas, being back home, they have returned. My upcoming walk with Barney will be helpful--he is a good listener!
