October 5--I Don't Think Religion is Helping

    There you have it! I've been pondering lately the gross and rampant lack of critical thinking among too much of the U.S. population. I see religion as a huge contributor to this. Religions say "this is how thou shalt think, and though shalt not question." That is clearly the easy way out for a vast number of folks. Obviously in our world today, there is enormous confusion between beliefs and truth. Any religion (including Trumpism) offers a set of beliefs that may or may not have anything to do with the truth. 

    I am forever grateful to my (brave-soul) dad who taught me to question everything--thus my history of traveling through several religions and finally settling on none.
