May 2--Balance Must Be Restored

    Before this sciatica episode, I was able to stand on one leg for a full minute on each side. Now on my left side, I can't even make five seconds. I would offer this list of things not to take for granted:
  • Good balance
  • Sleeping comfortably in your bed
  • Moving without pain
  • Doing your favorite hobbies (mine: pickleball, golf, gardening, swimming, painting)
  • Walking the dog
  • Going out with friends
  • Easily completing daily chores
  • Parking far away and enjoying the extra steps
  • Feeling good about your body
  • Living without pain meds and sleep aids
  • Soaking in a hot bath
